Dutch Flightline Airshow Photography

Discover our passion for flying and airshow photography, and learn about our airshow journeys and what drives our enthusiasm.

Hi, we are RB and Jol, the faces behind Dutch Flightline Airshow Photography. For more than 30 years, we have shared the same passion in aviation and photography.

We are Remote Controled pilots, flying with airplanes and helicopters and have competed in big-scale aerobatic competitions across Europe for about 15 years. We both became Dutch R/C Aerobatic Champions.

After our experience as R/C aerobatic pilots, we have transitioned into the world of big aviation, focusing on airshow photography during the summer months.

Our background as R/C aerobatic pilots helps us to understand display performances and make better airshow pictures.

We have been travelling to airshows and aviation events around Europe. From The Netherlands to Greece, Austria, Sweden, Belgium, France, U.K., Switzerland, Germany, Denmark to Poland.

We make stunning aviation pictures for airshow organisers and display teams, air forces and pilots and we expand our aviation and airshow network continuously.

For our pictures we're using professional Nikon cameras and lenses and DxO PhotoLab for post-processing.

Passion in Aviation Photography

RB's interest in photography started at a young age with the analog Kodak Instamatic and later Praktica MTL-5 camera of his father. Making not that great pictures, mostly learning about photography.

Later in highschool, he did a course in developing b/w photos.

After the Fujifilm Finepix 4900Z his first DSLR was a Nikon D100. On the first page of the Nikon manual was stating: digital photography is a lifelong learning experience. We still learning every day.

Jol has always been interested in computers and digital imaging, such as Adobe Photoshop. Making art long before Ai was invented. After the Canon Powershot she entered the world of DSLR cameras with a Nikon D70.

So when photography became digital:
aviation - computer - photography meet
airshows - post processing - social media

Teamwork makes the Dream work

We think in airshow photography the synergy is very important. Not only my wife and I operate as a professional team, but we have also great connections in the airshow world.

The importance of mutual understanding between pilots, airshow organisers and photographers results in better pictures.

That's why you will often find us on or even beyond the flightline, talking with pilots, crew or airshow organisers.

We're offering high quality airshow pictures and professional aviation photo shoot from runway to the clouds.

That's our passion!

See you on the Flightline!
