Antidotum Leszno Airshow 2025: Magic in the Air

The Antidotum Airshow Leszno 2025, held on June 20–21, 2025, solidifed its reputation as one of Europe's most unique and "magical" aviation events. Known for its blend of sunset flying, drones, pyrotechnics, and live music, the 2025 edition saw record-breaking attendance with over 75,000 tickets sold.

The Airshow 2.0 Concept

Unlike traditional air shows, Leszno 2025 offered complete aviation, merging the raw power of piston engines and jet turbines with a massive artistic production. The event proved that modern spectators want more than just flypasts; they want a choreographed spectacle with live music, stunning live footage from drones displayed on big screens and lots of pyrotechs and fireworks during the sunset and night show.

Flying Display Highlights

The 2025 lineup featured a strong mix of modern military power and historic warbirds:

Aerial Innovations: Opening of the airshow included a helicopter routine where helicopters flew through a water cannon, a rare sight at European airshows.

German Military Presence: The German Air Force provided a significant contribution, premiered its new Tornado IDS Team, Eurofighter Typhoon, and German Army participated with helicopters NH90 with a flare dump, and EC-665 Tiger solo displays.
Polish Air Force Power: Poland showcased the F-16 Tiger Demo Team and the C-130 Hercules, which performed massive flare dumps at sunset.
The Flying Bulls: The Austrian team provided a "masterclass" with their fleet, including the P-38 Lightning, B-25 Mitchell, F4U Corsair, and T-28 Trojan.
Historic Dogfights: Pterodactyl Flight performed a dynamic WWI-era tailchase with replica aircraft like the Fokker D.VII and SE5a, using real blank fire and pyrotechs for combat realism.
Civilian Aerobatics: The Baltic Bees Jet Team (L-39 Albatros) and the Hawks of Romania and Flying Bulls Aerobatic Team performed high-precision formation aerobatics.

The Signature Night Finale

The show concluded each evening with a choreographed production that integrated:

Aero-Musical Spectacle: The heart of the "New Concept" was the Wind Cameral Orchestra. Every maneuver during the sunset and night displays was timed to a live orchestral score, turning the sky into a massive stage.
11-Aircraft Grand Finale: A synchronized performance with an incredible amount of pyrotechnics and fireworks involving fast jets (TS-11 Iskra), helicopters (Bo105, Heliforce Mi-2), and hot air balloons, Fire Moths, ANBO Aerobatic Team, Scandinavian Airshow Team, BusCat and r/c controlled aerobatics by Luca Baumann
Drones & Precision: The Airshow 2.0 vision was spearheaded by the Flying Dragons Team, who utilized a massive drone swarm and paramotors to create glowing geometric shapes in the dark, acting as a bridge between the aircraft and the audience.
Arka Pyroshow: A long-time partner of the event, they were responsible for the massive ground-based fireworks and explosive effects.

The Spirit of Antidotum Leszno Airshow

Leszno Airshow was created during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 as an "antidote" to canceled events. In 5 years, It has become one of Europe's major air show events. Leszno is an absolute trendsetter, the most creative airshow in Europe. Leszno airshow redefined and re-invented a totally new airshow concept for a complete aviation experience and a new stadard where sunset and night-time displays are combined with live music and lots of pyrotechnics.

If you are an aviation fan, this is now a "bucket list" event. The official 2026 dates are already set for June 19–20, 2026 and tickets are expected to sell out fast.
